Accounting Manager
Where Spanish tax law meets a fast-moving agri-tech marketplace. High-ownership, hands-on finance role based in Seville. No two days the same.
Created by Petros and Ilias in 2017, Wikifarmer is a global platform with the mission of empowering farmers by educating them and giving them access to the open market to sell their products at fair prices.
In a nutshell 🥜
Wikifarmer España sits at the heart of our B2B agricultural marketplace. As Accounting Manager, you will own the day-to-day financial operations of the Spanish entity — keeping us fully compliant with AEAT obligations and the Plan General de Contabilidad, while supporting fast, accurate reporting across our multi-entity group. Roughly 70–80% of your focus will be on transactional and compliance work, with the remainder on financial planning and process improvement. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who takes pride in getting the details right and finds genuine satisfaction in building order and reliability into a fast-moving business.
What you'll be doing:
Spanish Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Own the preparation and timely submission of all Spanish tax declarations — Modelo 303, 349, 347, 390, and 200 — with zero missed deadlines
Manage real-time VAT reporting through the SII system, ensuring all invoices are reported to AEAT within the 4-day statutory window
Maintain all accounting records in compliance with the PGC framework, including year-end adjustments and proper chart of accounts usage
Coordinate on customs and export documentation: DUA filings, Intrastat declarations, and import/export duties
Oversee payroll tax and Social Security compliance, coordinating with the external gestoría laboral
Maintain transfer pricing documentation for intercompany transactions across Spain, Greece, and Cyprus
Daily Accounting & Financial Operations
Manage the full AP/AR cycle: invoice issuance, supplier payments, customer collections, and bank reconciliations
Own the collections process — monitor ageing, follow up on overdue balances, and coordinate with Sales on payment issues
Manage factoring submissions and trade finance instruments, track credit insurance, and optimise working capital
Lead audit preparation and address auditor queries, targeting a clean result with no material findings
Manage intercompany reconciliations across the group and collaborate with the group-level finance team
Continuously identify automation and tooling improvements — particularly around SII reporting, invoicing, and the Holded ERP
What you'll bring to the table
We're looking for someone with 3–7 years of accounting or finance experience, with the following:
Essential
Strong, hands-on knowledge of Spanish tax law and the Plan General de Contabilidad (PGC)
Proven experience filing with AEAT — Modelo 303, 349, 347, 390, and 200 — and working with the SII real-time reporting system
Business fluency in Spanish and professional English (written and spoken)
Working knowledge of IFRS for group-level reporting
Experience with an ERP system (Holded, Sage, SAP Business One, or similar), plus advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
Proven ability to manage AP/AR, monthly close, and bank reconciliations independently
Based in Seville or genuinely willing to relocate; remote within Spain considered for exceptional candidates
Bonus points if you have:
Experience in food trade, agricultural commodities, or export businesses
Familiarity with factoring, trade finance, or customs/export documentation (DUA, Intrastat)
Experience in a startup, scale-up, or multi-entity international company managing accounting across jurisdictions
Familiarity with factoring, trade finance, or working capital instruments
Knowledge of Beckham Law implications for payroll
Experience working in a multi-entity international company managing accounting across jurisdictions
Experience with Payhawk, HubSpot, or similar operational tools
What we can offer:
A competitive salary of €30,000–€47,000 gross per year, depending on experience
Comprehensive private medical insurance for you and your dependants
24 days of annual leave, plus public and national holidays
Unlimited access to Coursera for your learning and development
Real ownership from day one in a fast-growing company where your work has direct, visible impact
