At Wikifarmer, we have evolved our commercial model, transitioning from traditional trading to distinct, specialized sales and sourcing functions and are now looking for a Purchasing Manager for Edible Oils to redefine how we collaborate with our suppliers.
In this role, you’ll be the owner and coordinator of our Spanish bottled olive oil suppliers, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and setting up supplier engagement rules while driving adoption of our platform.
Your focus will be on building strong supplier relationships, securing competitive pricing, maintaining updated price lists, and developing deep category expertise. You’ll also coordinate closely with our Operations and Quality teams to ensure traceability, product quality, and smooth logistics.
This is a key opportunity to shape Wikifarmer’s sourcing strategy and strengthen partnerships in one of our most strategic product categories.
What you'll be doing:
Source and manage suppliers for bottled/packed edible oils, building strong and trusted relationships
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure competitive offerings on the platform
Ensure product quality, traceability, and labeling compliance, maintaining high standards for our customers
Support product innovation, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal teams
Monitor market trends and industry dynamics to inform sourcing and product decisions
Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Marketing teams to optimize product availability, positioning, and supplier experience
Facilitate the onboarding of existing suppliers to the platform and drive adoption of digital tools
Provide insights and feedback to the product team to enhance supplier engagement and streamline operations
What you’ll bring to the table:
Proven track record in sourcing packed olive oil and edible oils, with deep understanding of the market, product types, and key suppliers
Strong negotiation and commercial skills, with a knack for building lasting supplier partnerships
Highly organized, capable of managing multiple supplier relationships with clarity and consistency
Tech-savvy, comfortable working with digital tools, platforms, and dashboards
Self-starter attitude, adaptable mindset, and a drive to make sourcing and supplier processes smarter and more efficient.
Fluent in Spanish, with working proficiency in English.
